United Airlines has announced a significant increase in bookings for European destinations during the Christmas season, showing a rise of nearly 30% compared to 2019 and nearly 10% compared to last year. The airline anticipates that the 2024 holiday period will set a new record for passenger numbers, expecting approximately 25 million travelers, marking a 6% increase from 2023.
The holiday schedule features daily nonstop flights from United's U.S. hubs to 16 European cities known for their festive markets. These destinations include Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Edinburgh, Zurich, Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Paris, and several others, totaling nearly 60 nonstop flights each day. United Airlines highlights that, through their partnerships with the Lufthansa Group and the Deutsche Bahn railway, travelers have the opportunity to explore over 130 additional destinations across Europe, further expanding access to European holiday markets.
