US Futures Rise to Kick Off the Week

U.S. stock futures saw an uptick on Monday as Wall Street aimed to build upon the gains from last week while investors were on the lookout for new market drivers. Last week, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 1.2%, the S&P 500 rose by 0.51%, and the Nasdaq Composite inched up by 0.17%. Notably, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite recovered from a four-week losing streak attributed to recession fears and former President Donald Trump's stringent trade policies. Investor sentiment is currently fixated on the impending April 2 deadline concerning Trump's reciprocal tariffs, though the President hinted at possible "flexibility" in his plans over the weekend. Additionally, reports emerged suggesting that the tariffs might be more limited than initially anticipated, possibly excluding some industry-specific levies. As the week progresses, market participants are poised for the release of preliminary U.S. PMI data on Monday and earnings announcements from companies such as KB Home and Enerpac Tool Group.
