Industrial producer prices in Italy surged by 6.2% in February 2025 compared to the same month the previous year. This uptick follows a 4.4% rise recorded in January. It represents the third successive month of increasing producer prices after a prolonged decline that began in March 2023. Domestic market prices swelled at a sharper rate of 8.5% compared to 6% in the previous month, while foreign market prices also witnessed growth, rising by 1.2% against a previous increase of 1%. Specifically, prices rose by 1% within the Euro area and by 1.4% in non-Euro countries. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices rose by 0.7%.
