In February 2025, retail sales in the Czech Republic experienced a 3.8% increase compared to the same month the previous year. This follows a revised 3.2% increase in January, which marked the slowest growth since May 2024. Significant sales growth was recorded in several sectors: automotive fuel sales grew by 8.1%, up from 5.4% in January; food, beverages, and tobacco sales increased by 2.2%, compared to 1.8% previously; and non-food product sales rose by 4.0%, slightly higher than the 3.7% observed earlier. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail trade saw a 0.4% growth in February, recovering from a 0.4% decline in the prior month.
