In February 2025, Germany experienced a notable resurgence in export activities, with exports climbing 1.8% month-over-month, reaching a peak of EUR 131.6 billion—the highest in the past ten months. This growth, the most significant since November 2024, was largely attributed to increased trade within the European Union, showing a 0.5% rise. More specifically, the Eurozone witnessed a 0.3% enhancement, while the non-Eurozone countries saw a slightly larger gain of 1%. Beyond the EU, there was a substantial rise in exports to third countries, up by 3.2%, largely propelled by an 8.5% surge in exports to the USA and a modest 0.6% increase to China. Conversely, exports to the United Kingdom fell by 3.8%, and there was a 3% decrease in shipments to the Russian Federation.
