In March 2025, Austria experienced a decline in wholesale prices, registering a 0.2% decrease compared to the same month the previous year, following a 0.1% drop in February. Additionally, the prices for plastics and rubber in primary forms decreased by 3.8%, and hardware, plumbing, and heating equipment and supplies dropped by 3.6%. Conversely, significant price increases were observed in sectors such as watches and jewelry, which surged by 19.7%, coffee, tea, cocoa, and spices by 17.7%, grain, seeds, and animal feed by 12.5%, and non-alcoholic beverages by 10.2%. On a month-to-month comparison, wholesale prices fell by 0.8% in March, escalating from the 0.2% decline noted in the preceding month.
