In March 2025, retail sales in Norway experienced a 0.6% month-on-month increase, rebounding from a 0.1% decrease observed the previous month. This growth was largely driven by a significant recovery in the sales of ICT equipment, which surged by 9.1% following a steep decline of 13% in February. Additionally, sales of household equipment saw an upturn of 2.8%, contrasting with the 2.8% decrease previously recorded. The decline in sales of cultural and recreational goods slowed to 0.2% from 0.9%. Conversely, growth in trade for other goods in specialized stores slowed to 0.3%, down from 1.0%. On an annual basis, retail activity increased by 2.8% in March, marking an acceleration from a revised 2.3% rise in the previous period.
