The annual growth rate of lending to Swedish households increased to 2.1% in March 2025, up from 1.9% the previous month, reaching its highest point since April 2023. Housing loans, which constitute 83% of the total lending to households, experienced a year-over-year increase of 1.8% in March 2025, compared to 1.7% in February. Conversely, consumption loans, accounting for 6% of total household lending, saw an annual growth rate of 5.2%, a slight decline from February's 6%. Additionally, the average interest rate for new mortgage agreements stood at 3.09% in March, with the average floating rate also at 3.09%. Furthermore, the annual growth rate for lending to non-financial corporations climbed to 0.5%, up from 0.1% the month prior.
