Turkey's economic confidence index dropped to 96.6 in April 2025 from 100.8 in March, falling below the neutral threshold of 100, thereby indicating a shift back to pessimism. This represents the lowest level since September 2024, largely due to decreased confidence among consumers, whose index fell from 85.9 to 83.9, and construction firms, which experienced a decline from 88.9 to 85.1. Additionally, the confidence index saw a decrease among manufacturers, dropping from 103.2 to 100.8, as well as among service providers and retailers, which fell from 114.4 to 109.5 and from 113.4 to 110.6, respectively.
