US Crude Oil Inventories Unexpectedly Fall: EIA

U.S. crude oil inventories experienced a decline of 2.696 million barrels in the week ending April 25, 2025, diverging from market forecasts which had anticipated a rise of 0.39 million barrels. This data comes from the EIA Petroleum Status Report. Conversely, storage levels at the Cushing, Oklahoma delivery hub saw an increase of 682,000 barrels. In the refined fuels sector, gasoline stocks saw a significant drop of 4.002 million barrels, whereas distillate fuel stocks rose by 0.937 million barrels.
