Kazakhstan experienced a rise in its annual inflation rate, reaching 10.7% in April 2025, the highest in 18 months, compared to 10% recorded in March. This increase was primarily driven by rising costs of food products, which climbed to 8.5% from 7.6% in the previous month, and a significant hike in paid services, escalating to 15.7% from 14.3%. However, these increases were partially balanced by a slight decline in non-food product inflation, which eased to 8.9% from 9.1%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices rose by 1.2%, showing a deceleration from the 1.3% rise seen in the preceding month.
