In the first quarter of 2025, Mongolia's economy experienced a year-on-year growth rate of 2.4%, a deceleration from the 4.9% growth seen in the preceding quarter. This quarter reflects the slowest economic expansion since the second quarter of 2022, influenced by declines in transportation (-1.2%) and wholesale and retail trade (-0.6%), with construction activity showing no growth. Conversely, there were increases in output within the agriculture sector (1.0%), manufacturing (0.4%), and services (1.2%).
