The annual inflation rate in Croatia was slightly revised upward to 3.2% in April 2025 from an initial estimate of 3.1%, aligning with the rate observed in the preceding month. This remains the lowest inflation rate noted since November of the previous year as the increase in prices for several categories moderated. Specifically, prices slowed for food and non-alcoholic beverages (rising 4.5% compared to 4.7% in March), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (up 1.8% from 2.6%), health services (increasing 5.0% compared to 5.4%), restaurants and hotels (rising 8.7% versus 9.4%), and miscellaneous goods and services (up 5.6% compared to 5.7%). Furthermore, the deflation in transport deepened, falling to -1.8% from -0.4%. Conversely, costs rose for housing and utilities (up to 5.6% from 4.5%) and recreation and culture (increasing to 5.9% from 5.7%). On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices increased by 0.6%, consistent with initial estimates, following a 0.4% rise in March.
