In April, Morocco's annual inflation rate decreased to 0.7%, down from 1.6% in March, reaching its lowest point since last December. Additionally, the transport sector experienced increased deflation at -4.0% compared to -2.4%, and the recreation and culture sector saw deflation at -0.9% versus -0.5%. Conversely, there was an uptick in inflation for alcoholic beverages and tobacco, rising to 3.6% from 2.9%, as well as in the restaurants and hotels sector, which increased to 4.4% from 3.9%. Inflation in housing and utilities remained consistent at 3.7%. On a month-over-month basis, consumer prices decreased by 0.3% in April, mirroring the decline observed in March.
