In April 2025, Sweden's industrial production increased by 5% compared to the same month the previous year, recovering from a revised 3.4% decline observed in March. This marked the first instance of growth in industrial activity since December 2024, driven by a resurgence in output within the manufacturing sector (rising to 4.7% from -3.5% in March) as well as the mining and quarrying industries (improving to 8.5% from -2.9%). Conversely, the production in electricity, gas, steam, and hot water facilities continued to decrease, falling to -0.93% from -0.53%. On a seasonally adjusted month-to-month basis, industrial output increased by 3.4% in April, representing the largest monthly growth since December 2024, and bouncing back from a 1.6% decrease in March.
