Romania's annual inflation rate increased to 5.66% in June 2025, up from 5.45% in May, surpassing market predictions of 5.55%. Food product prices saw a notable rise, climbing to 7.36% from 6.53% the previous month. In contrast, the costs of non-food products eased slightly to 3.90% from 4%, while service costs also experienced a minor reduction, decreasing to 7.05% from 7.09%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices experienced a 0.45% increment in June, a marginal decline from the 0.46% rise observed in May.
