Poland Inflation Rate Confirmed at 4.1%

Poland's annual inflation rate in June 2025 was confirmed at 4.1%, aligning with the initial estimate and reflecting a slight rise from 4.0% in May. This increase was largely driven by more rapid price hikes in several sectors: communication costs rose to 4.4% from 2.8% in May, alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased to 6.7% from 6.3%, and prices in restaurants and hotels climbed to 6.0% from 5.9%. There was also a lessening in the rate of deflation in the transport sector, changing to -6.0% from -7.2%. However, the upward trend in inflation was moderated by slower price growth in categories such as food and non-alcoholic beverages, which decreased to 4.9% from 5.5%, housing and utilities, which slightly fell to 10.5% from 10.6%, health which moved down to 4.6% from 4.9%, and miscellaneous goods and services, which dropped to 1.3% from 2.0%. On a month-to-month comparison, consumer prices inched up by 0.1% in June, confirming earlier estimates and recovering from a 0.2% decline recorded in May.
