In June 2025, Slovenia witnessed a significant increase in tourist arrivals, climbing 17.2% from the previous year to reach 794,737. This growth follows a 3.5% rise recorded in May. Notably, the influx of foreign tourists rose by 20.2%, amassing a total of 2.078 million visitors, while domestic tourist arrivals saw a 6.4% increase, reaching 721,368. Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Poland comprised the majority of Slovenia's foreign visitors. Concurrently, overnight stays experienced a notable 19.5% boost, totaling 1.970 million, with 35% occurring in mountain resorts, 20% in seaside resorts, and the remainder primarily in health/spa resorts and Ljubljana (15%). An analysis of the first half of the year reveals that tourists contributed to 2.8 million arrivals, marking an 8% uptick compared to the same period the previous year, and logged 6.9 million overnight stays, reflecting a similar 8% growth. Foreign tourists accounted for 71% of all overnight stays. German tourists led the numbers, followed by visitors from Italy and Austria.
