Kazakhstan experienced a significant boost in industrial production, with output surging by 8.9% year-on-year in July 2025. This uptick surpasses the 7.2% growth observed in June, marking the most robust expansion since February. The acceleration was largely fueled by a notable increase in manufacturing output, which climbed to 9.6% from 3.1% the previous month, alongside a similar rise in electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning supply, also at 9.6% compared to 2.8% in June. Conversely, growth in the mining and quarrying sector decelerated to 8.6% from 11.8%, and the sector covering water supply, waste collection and treatment, and pollution saw a deeper contraction, declining by 16.4% compared to a 0.8% decrease previously. On a month-to-month basis, industrial output witnessed a decline of 3.4% in July, following a 2.7% increase in the prior month. Reviewing the period from January to July, overall industrial output rose by 6.5% compared to the same timeframe in the previous year.
