In July 2025, Georgia experienced a slight reduction in its trade deficit, which stood at USD 854.2 million, compared to USD 884.3 million in July of the previous year. On an annual basis, exports experienced a significant decline of 10.8%, reaching USD 610.4 million, while imports decreased by 6.6% to a total of USD 1,464.6 million. Over the span from January to July, the trade deficit expanded to USD 6,465.6 million, up from USD 5,779.2 million during the same time frame in the previous year. This expansion was driven by increases in both exports and imports, which rose by 9.0% and 10.8%, respectively.
