FX.co ★ Slovakia Current Account Gap Widens in June

In June 2025, Slovakia's current account deficit widened to EUR 126.1 million, up from EUR 72.1 million in the same month the previous year. This increase was largely due to the growing deficits in primary income, which climbed to EUR 289.5 million from EUR 238.1 million, and secondary income, which increased to EUR 85.1 million from EUR 49.6 million. Moreover, there was a significant reduction in the services account surplus, decreasing to EUR 9.6 million from EUR 60.3 million. Conversely, the surplus in the goods account improved, rising to EUR 238.9 million from EUR 155.4 million compared to June of the previous year.
