In July, Turkey's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 8.0%, marking its lowest point in four months and improving from a revised 8.4% in June. The count of unemployed individuals decreased by 164,000, totaling 2.83 million, as employment figures saw a slight rise by 18,000, reaching 32.58 million. This maintained the overall employment rate at a consistent 49.1%. Notably, male employment saw a marginal decline from 66.4% in June to 66.1%, whereas female employment experienced a modest uptick from 32.1% to 32.4%. The labor force participation rate decreased slightly to 53.3% from 53.6%. Furthermore, the unemployment rate among youth aged 15–24 fell to 15.0% in July, down from 15.9% in the previous month.
