In August 2025, Vietnam experienced a 16.5% year-on-year increase in international arrivals, reaching 1.68 million, although this represented a slowdown compared to the 35.7% spike recorded in July. Asian visitors increased by 14.2%, highlighted by significant growth from China at 34.9%, Japan at 12.0%, Malaysia at 25.0%, Cambodia at 23.7%, and the Philippines at a remarkable 63.7%. Arrivals from the Americas edged up by 2.2%, primarily fueled by a 10.8% rise in Canadian tourists. European visitors surged by 44.1%, with significant contributions from Russia at an astounding 217.3%, the UK at 19.0%, France at 19.7%, and Germany at 23.6%. Australian tourists rose by 2.6%, while arrivals from Africa increased by 14.0%. Overall, for the first eight months of the year, international arrivals saw a 21.7% rise, totaling 13.91 million.
