Retail sales in Greece experienced a 2.1% year-on-year increase in July 2025, building on a 1.8% rise in the preceding month. Non-food sector sales saw significant acceleration, climbing by 5% compared to a 3.1% decrease in June. The automotive fuel sector also rebounded with a 1.5% increase, recovering from a 0.7% drop. Conversely, food sales growth slowed, posting a 2.1% rise compared to the previous 3.6% growth rate. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the retail trade sector saw a decline of 1.5% in July.
