The number of unemployed individuals increased by 9,800 from the previous month, totaling 481,000. The unemployment rate for men experienced an uptick, reaching 6.2% compared to 6% in July, while the rate for women remained steady at 5.5%. In August 2024, the unemployment rate had been lower, at 5.7%.
