Romania experienced an annual rise in producer inflation of 3.21% in August 2025, a notable increase from the revised 2.50% in July. This represents the most rapid growth since March, largely due to significant price hikes in sectors such as water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities, which saw a 10.82% increase. Other contributing factors include manufacturing, with prices rising by 3.32%, electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply at 2.89%, and mining and quarrying with a 0.84% increase. Conversely, on a monthly scale, there was a slight decline in producer prices by 0.61%.
