Norway Manufacturing Activity at 6-Month Low

Norway's DNB Manufacturing PMI decreased to 47.7 in October 2025, down from 49.7 in September, marking its third consecutive monthly decline and reaching its lowest level since April. The production index fell to 47.7, compared to 51.7 the previous month, while the index for new orders also continued to drop (47.6 from 49.2 in September), reflecting subdued demand in both domestic orders (46.5) and export orders (49.7). Additionally, the employment index weakened further, declining to 42.4 from 46.8. On the other hand, inventories of purchased goods decreased further (47.1 from 48), indicating an uptick in demand that partially supported the overall index. Moreover, delivery times lengthened (51.8 from 49.4), suggesting increased activity levels. Although the index for input prices decreased by 1.3 points to 58.2 in October from 59.5 in September, it still pointed towards rising prices.
