FX.co ★ Latvia Current Account Gap Widens in September

In September 2025, Latvia experienced a notable increase in its current account deficit, which rose to EUR 178 million from EUR 60 million in September of the previous year. The deficit in the goods account expanded significantly to EUR 324 million, compared to EUR 261 million the year before. Additionally, the surplus in the services account diminished to EUR 149 million from last year's EUR 197 million. The secondary income surplus also experienced a decline, falling to EUR 58 million from EUR 110 million. Conversely, the gap in the primary income account showed improvement, narrowing to EUR 61 million from EUR 106 million.
