In September 2025, the issuance of building permits in Serbia increased by 3.1% compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 2,961 permits. This follows a decline of 1.4% in August. Of these permits, 85.6% were allocated for building projects, while 14.4% were designated for civil engineering constructions. Specifically focusing on building permits, 86.1% were for residential properties and 13.9% for non-residential structures. In the realm of civil engineering, a significant portion, 77.8%, pertained to the construction of pipelines, communication networks, and electrical power lines. New construction projects dominated, representing 90.1% of the total projected value of works. The Beogradska region is expected to lead in construction activity with 65.4%, followed by Južnobanatska at 10.6%, Rasinska at 5.4%, Južnobacka at 3.3%, and Raška at 3.0%.
