In December 2025, Tunisia's inflation rate held steady at 4.9% for the third consecutive month, marking its lowest point in over four and a half years. There was a deceleration in the rate of price increases in several sectors: restaurants and hotels experienced a modest rise of 6%, down from November’s 6.2%; the recreation and culture index rose by 4.3% compared to the previous month's 4.4%; the health sector saw an increase of 3.7%, slightly lower than November's 3.8%; and the transportation sector showed a 2.8% rise, compared to 2.9% earlier. Meanwhile, prices in the food and non-alcoholic beverages sector picked up, registering a 6.1% increase, up from 5.8%. Despite these variations, inflation in the clothing and footwear category remained high at 9.1%, as did in miscellaneous goods and services, holding steady at 5.8%. On a monthly scale, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) saw a 0.2% increase in December, following a 0.1% increase in the previous month.
