Qatar’s economic growth moderated in the fourth quarter of 2025, with GDP expanding by 2.00% year-on-year, down from 2.90% in the third quarter of 2025. The latest data, updated on 31 March 2026, indicate a deceleration in the pace of annual growth as measured against the same quarter a year earlier.
On a year-over-year comparison basis, the “actual” figure reflects the change in GDP for the fourth quarter of 2025 versus the fourth quarter of the previous year. The “previous” reading of 2.90% represented the change in the third quarter of 2025 relative to the same quarter a year earlier. The slowdown from 2.90% to 2.00% suggests that while Qatar’s economy continued to grow at the end of 2025, the momentum eased compared with the prior quarter’s annual pace.
