Spain's current account surplus narrowed to EUR 1.88 billion in April 2026, down from EUR 2.46 billion in the same month a year earlier. The deficit in primary and secondary income widened to EUR 5.0 billion, compared with EUR 3.80 billion previously. By contrast, the balance of goods and services posted a surplus of EUR 6.89 billion, an increase of 10.1% from EUR 6.25 billion a year earlier. Within this category, tourism revenues rose to EUR 9.27 million, up from EUR 8.52 million in the same period of the previous year.
