Croatia’s current account deficit widened to EUR 3,411 million in the first quarter of 2026, up from EUR 3,277 million in the same period a year earlier. The goods account deficit increased to EUR 4,920 million from EUR 4,834 million in the first quarter of 2025. Over the same period, the primary income account surplus narrowed to EUR 163 million from EUR 277 million. By contrast, the services account surplus inched up to EUR 836 million from EUR 834 million, and the secondary income account surplus also rose, to EUR 509 million from EUR 446 million.
