Lithuania Producer Inflation Hits Highest Since 2023

Producer prices in Lithuania increased by 13.6% year-on-year in August 2026, accelerating from an 11.5% rise in July. This was the strongest annual gain since February 2023, driven mainly by faster price growth in manufacturing (13.6% vs 11.0% in July), underpinned by a sharp rise in the production of coke and refined petroleum products (66.6% vs 50.1%). Prices also advanced in mining and quarrying (3.8% vs 3.5%). By contrast, inflation eased in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (10.9% vs 16.6%) and in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (5.3% vs 5.8%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 1.2% in August, slowing from a three-month high of 2.1% in July.
