During the summit, Mr. Putin held talks with US President Barack Obama. The politicians met on the sidelines of the summit. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Mr. Obama expressed regret over Russian Su-24 plane incident.

Besides, the Russian leader met with Germany's chancellor Angela Merkel. It is said that the Russian president planned the meeting in advance. Mr. Putin had talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, South Korean President Park Geun-Hye, and his Peruvian counterpart Ollanta Humala.

Vladimir Putin had to meet with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan. However, the Russian leader refused to open talks with the Turkish colleague.

On Sunday, eco-activists organized environmental march ahead of the COP 21 Climate Conference that began on Monday in Paris. The Paris prosecutor's office said that 317 people were taken into custody.
