At 10 am ET, the Bank of Canada will announce its interest rate decision. The BoC is widely expected to raise interest rate to 1.5 percent from 1 percent.
The loonie traded mixed against its major rivals before the decision. While it fell against the aussie, it climbed against the rest of major rivals.
The loonie was worth 102.43 against the yen, 1.2627 against the greenback, 0.9110 against the euro and 1.3518 against the aussie at 9:55 am ET.
