Dow Inc. reported an earnings of $516 million in the first quarter, a significant increase from a loss of $93 million in the same period last year. There was also a boost in Earnings Per Share (EPS) with a Q1 report of $0.73, compared to a negative $0.13 EPS in the same period the previous year. After excluding certain items, Dow Inc.'s adjusted earnings came to $394 million or $0.56 per share for the quarter.
Contrary to analysts' projected $0.45 per share, Dow Inc. outperformed expectations. However, they brought in $10.77 billion in revenue for the first quarter, showing a drop from $11.85 billion in the corresponding period last year.
