Amadeus IT Group, S.A. (AMADF.PK), a Spanish company specializing in software solutions for the travel and tourism sector, announced a 20.8% increase in its second-quarter profit on Wednesday, reaching €336.1 million compared to €278.3 million in the same period last year.
The adjusted profit rose to €358.9 million, up from €287.2 million a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share increased to €0.82, from €0.64 in the prior year.
Operating income surged 18.1% to €449 million, while the operating income margin improved to 28.9% from 27.5%.
EBITDA witnessed a 15.8% growth, totaling €621 million.
Group revenue climbed 12.7% to €1.56 billion, up from €1.38 billion the previous year.
Luis Maroto, President and CEO of Amadeus, remarked, "We have maintained a double-digit growth rate throughout the first half of the year and remain optimistic about our prospects for 2024."
