General Motors Company (GM) recently released its earnings for the fourth quarter. The company reported a loss of $1.725 billion, a significant shift from the $2.076 billion profit it posted during the same quarter the previous year. Earnings per share (EPS) also declined to a loss of $1.64, compared to last year's positive EPS of $1.59. However, when excluding certain items, GM's adjusted earnings amounted to $2.066 billion, or $1.92 per share, surpassing analysts' expectations of $1.84 per share. GM's revenue in the fourth quarter increased to $47.702 billion, up from $42.980 billion from the same period the year before.
