Energizer Holdings, Inc. (ENR) announced on Tuesday the launch of a fully recyclable, plastic-free packaging option for its Energizer battery range.
This newly designed packaging, made from paper, is intended to improve consumer convenience with its modern and easy-to-use design, making the processes of purchasing, opening, and storing batteries more straightforward.
The transition to plastic-free packaging will commence this March at Walmart locations across the United States as well as online. Additional North American retailers are anticipated to follow suit and adopt the new packaging by 2025.
As of now, ENR shares are trading at $34.55, reflecting a 0.44 percent increase or a $0.15 gain on the New York Stock Exchange.
