In February 2025, Croatia's industrial production experienced a year-on-year increase of 5.4%, showing a deceleration from January's three-and-a-half-year peak of 7.5%. This slowdown was primarily due to reduced growth in manufacturing, which fell to 3.8% compared to 7.7% the previous month, with declines notably in textiles, leather, and wood products. Conversely, the mining and quarrying sectors continued their downturn, decreasing by 1.9%, slightly better than the previous 2% drop. However, there was a significant upturn in the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning sector, which surged by 10.1%, up from 3.4%. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production declined by 3.9%, overturning a 2.1% increase observed in January.
