In February 2025, Chile's industrial production experienced a 3.6% decline compared to the previous year, marking the most significant reduction since May 2023. This follows a notably adjusted increase of 2% in January. The downturn was observed across all sectors, with mining experiencing the most substantial drop at 6.6%, compared to a 0.5% gain in January. Utilities also decreased by 3.2%, down from a 1% rise, while manufacturing fell by 1.3%, following a 3.6% increase. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the month-on-month industrial production decreased by 0.6% in February, succeeding a revised 3.2% decline in January.
