FX.co ★ Poland Inflation Rate Confirmed at 4.9%

The annual inflation rate in Poland remained steady at 4.9% in March 2025, consistent for the third consecutive month and in alignment with preliminary forecasts. Notable upward influences on inflation were observed in the categories of food and non-alcoholic beverages, where prices increased by 6.7% compared to 6.2% in February; alcoholic beverages and tobacco, which rose by 5.8% from 5.1%; housing and utilities, at 10.9% versus 10.7%; and communication, which edged up to 2.6% from 2.1%. Conversely, there was a decrease in transport costs, which fell by 3.6% compared to the previous 2.5%, while inflationary pressures eased in recreation and culture, dropping to 3.9% from 5%, and in restaurants and hotels, where the rate slowed to 6.1% from 6.4%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices experienced a modest increase of 0.2% in March, following a 0.3% rise in the previous period.
