In April 2025, Finland experienced a 1.1% year-on-year decline in producer prices, a turnaround from the 0.5% increase observed in March. This marked the first occurrence of producer price deflation since December 2024. The decrease was primarily driven by lower prices in the manufacturing sector (-1.1% compared to a 0.3% rise in March), with significant reductions noted in refined petroleum products. Prices also declined in the mining and quarrying sector (-3.5% compared to a 0.6% increase previously) and in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-3% compared to a 1.3% rise). Conversely, prices for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services saw an accelerated increase, rising by 7.9% compared to 6% the month before. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices decreased by 0.7% in April, following a 0.2% drop in the prior month.
