FX.co ★ Czechia Industrial Output Hits Over 2-Year High

In April 2025, industrial production in the Czech Republic surged by 2.0% compared to the same period the previous year, surpassing market forecasts that predicted a rise of only 1.0%. This follows a 1.4% growth in March, marking the highest performance since March 2023. The increase in production was driven by accelerated growth in manufacturing (0.9% up from 0.5% in March) as well as in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply, which saw an impressive rise to 14.4% from 12.7%. Additionally, the mining and quarrying sector rebounded with an increase of 7.1%, contrasting with a decline of 1.8% previously recorded. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity showed a 0.9% rise in April, building on a 0.4% increase in the prior month.
