FX.co ★ Slovakia Construction Output Growth Accelerates

In June 2025, Slovakia witnessed a notable 9.1% year-on-year increase in construction output, building on the 2.2% growth observed the previous month. This rise represents the second month in a row of expansion, largely attributable to heightened domestic production, which rose by 8.2% compared to 1.8% in May. New construction activities also saw a boost, growing by 5.9% from 5.2%, while overseas construction surged by 16.1%, up from the previous 5%. Additionally, there was a significant rebound in construction activities related to repairs and maintenance, which saw a 15.8% increase following a decline of 6.2% earlier, as well as in building projects which grew by 7.6% after a previous decrease of 2.1%. However, growth in engineering works output slightly decelerated to 9.5%, compared to 9.8% previously.
