In June 2025, North Macedonia saw a deceleration in its annual producer inflation rate to 5.2%, down from 5.8% in May. This represents the most modest growth in producer prices since October of the previous year. The primary factor behind this easing was a slower rise in energy costs, which increased by 8% compared to the 17.3% hike in May. Moreover, there was a moderation in the costs of non-durable goods (from 5.2% to 4.4%), consumer goods (from 4.9% to 4.1%), and capital goods (from 13.3% to 12.9%). Conversely, there was an uptick in producer inflation for intermediate goods, excluding energy (rising from 0.4% to 1.3%), and durable goods (from 0.4% to 0.5%). On a month-to-month basis, producer prices increased by 0.4% in June, maintaining the same growth rate as the previous month.
