In June 2025, Mexico experienced a 0.7% decrease in industrial output compared to the same month the previous year. This follows a 0.8% decline in May. The reduced rate of decline was largely attributed to progress in the construction sector, which saw a growth of 1.7%, up from 0.5%, driven by increased building activity that jumped to 8.1% from 5.7%. Similarly, the manufacturing sector recorded a modest growth of 0.7%, slightly up from 0.5%. Conversely, the decline in the mining sector intensified, with contractions increasing to 8.6% from the previous 8.2% in May. On a monthly basis, after adjustments for seasonal variations, industrial output decreased by 0.1%, countering the 0.7% rise noted in the previous month.
