In July 2025, Chile's industrial production experienced a 1% increase compared to the same month the previous year, following a 3.2% rise in June. This growth was primarily propelled by the manufacturing and utilities sectors. The manufacturing index saw a 2.7% increase over the past year, significantly supported by a 3.5% boost in food production. Meanwhile, the utilities index expanded by 0.9%, marked by a substantial 6.9% surge in gas. All segments within the utilities sector reported gains. Conversely, the mining sector faced a downturn with a 0.9% decrease year-on-year, attributed to reduced output across all mining categories, notably declining copper production due to lower ore grades. Adjusted for seasonal variations, industrial output rose by 1.3% on a monthly basis.
