Private house approvals in Australia experienced a 1.1% increase month-over-month in July 2025, reaching 9,288 units. This follows a revised downturn of 1.9% recorded in the previous month, according to preliminary data. The growth was largely fueled by increased approvals in most states, notably New South Wales (3.0%), Western Australia (3.0%), Victoria (1.3%), and Queensland (0.8%). Notably, South Australia was the only state to see a decrease, with a 6.1% drop. Year-over-year, private house permits saw a modest rise of 0.3%.
